DOGUE in conjunction with Naomi Conroy presents our Certified Pet Grooming Course, designed to introduce and develop the skills of those wishing to enter the pet grooming industry as a professional.
Our course will be held at our Bondi Junction Training Centre.
Assessments are conducted at the salon and final assessments are marked by Naomi Conroy on behalf of The HEINIGER ACADEMY – a Registered Training Organisation (National Provider No. 40888). At the salon, students will experience real day to day pet grooming situations, clientele, time frames and an array of breeds and grooming techniques.
No previous experience is necessary.
Duel Nationally Recognised Certificate III – in Pet Grooming (ACM 30617) and Companion Animals Studies (ACM30417)
Each course runs for 20 days (full-time, practical). Plus, approximately 40 hours online.
Part time options may be available upon request.

Our lead trainer and assessor – Naomi Conroy has been a passionate pet stylist since 2008. Naomi has won and placed in pet grooming competitions in Australia, Europe America & NZ representing the Australian groom team.
Today, she is one of the only pet stylists to have completed her International Masters Certification for both dogs and cats (ICMG & IFMG).
Naomi has turned her focus to helping students develop their passion, excel in their career and build rewarding grooming businesses.
Miharu (Mia) Goodridge
Mia has over 22 years’ experience as a groomer. Mia joined DOGUE in 2012 as our senior groomer / training instructor for the DOGUE network.
During her 22-year long career, Mia has worked with several grooming salons including Tails R Wagging where she was the Grooming Manager. Mia was also senior Instructor at the Australian Grooming Academy.
Prior to her relocation to Australia, Mia trained and worked at Green Park Animal Hospital for five years and is a qualified veterinary nurse, pet grooming specialist and dog trainer.
Rika joined DOGUE in 2010, and today is our senior groomer at our BUSY Bondi salon. Rika attended the Tokyo Aiken Grooming School for two years and worked for three years in a Tokyo Hiro Vet Clinic as a groomer and vet nurse. Rika’s favourite dogs to groom are Schnauzers and Poodles. Rika concentrates on the whole environment when grooming dogs. Her dog handling skills are exceptional and makes each dog feel welcomed and comfortable during their treatment.
With a background in vet nursing – Rika can easily identify opportunities to improve the health of her four-legged clients and to relay this information to the owners.
