As we do our best to socially distance ourselves to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we find ourselves spending more time indoors. The upside is more time with our fur-babies.
Here are some recommendations on how to pass the time and have fun with your pooch.
Treasure Hunt - Our dogs have an incredible sense of smell, so tap into this instinct with a fun treasure hunt. Using a small, healthy treat (we recommend
) hide one under some containers around the house for your dog to sniff out. This mental stimulation is great form of exercise, that can help to tire your pup out. We also recommend using the
Boredom Buster Mat to distract your pup and keep them out of mischief.
Pamper Time - Take this time to catch up on your dog’s needs. Consider
,
, or
to make sure their health is in tip-top shape. Especially if you cannot get to your regular groomer, you don’t want your pooch to go short unnecessarily.
Dental Hygiene - We are all guilty of not brushing our dog’s teeth as often as we should. Consider brushing your pup’s teeth and taking care of that built up plaque. If you’re finding it hard to brush your pup’s teeth, we recommend a dental stick which provides a great prevention against everyday plaque buildup.
A Long Walk - While maintaining a safe distance from others, a long walk outdoors is totally okay. Fresh air is important, it brings mental clarity and some exercise for your dog.
A Stairway Dash - If you have a stairwell make it a game to have your dog run up the stairs after a ball. This is a great way to burn some serious energy (hallways work well too)! If the Stairway Dash doesn’t work for you,
Extra Snuggles - Are you normally away from your dog for large portions of the day? Take this time to make the most of your relationship with your pet. Give them extra cuddles and pay special attention to them.
Don’t forget our
offer wonderful play time services, that helps your pooch socialise (even if you can’t). In accordance with social distance measures payments can be made via phone or bank transfer.
Finally, remember to stay calm and hug your puppy during this time!
